Civil War at the CRA!

California Republican Assembly “CRA”

People sometimes ask me why I left active politics and instead decided to take up the fight by blogging.

This link I am about to share with you is the main reason why.  An organization of 80 years, which Ronald Reagan himself coined "The Conscience of the Republican Party”, and which very well could have been the last best hope the California Republican Party had of averting a total Charles Munger Jr. liberalizing of the party platform, is currently on the verge of collapse.

I don’t know who wrote this blog, but I have confirmed its authenticity through various sources.

I have no idea whose fault this is, nor do I care.   These are all supposed to be adult leaders, and if the leadership is incapable of leading, maybe it’s time to rethink who the leaders are.

  1. Dear Tom (Hudson),

It is with a great deal of sadness that I submit my resignation as President
    of the California Republican Assembly.

It has been my great pleasure to have served as President. When I took over
as President between CRA and its independent expenditure committee our
liabilities exceeded our assets by about $20K, now we have over $35K in the
bank and in the last few years CRA has grown in numbers while we added new
units. I believe we have opened up the organization to more transparency
    during this period also.

While I believe that a majority of the board still supported me I have tired
of the untrue and unfounded allegations along with the personal threats.
Frankly, while I have had differences with some in the past, what has
occurred as of late has become incredibly personal to both Terri and I.

I still believe that the committee chaired by VP Dale Tyler should be
approved and allowed to function. The board should be allowed to hear what
they find or don't find and act or not act as they see fit. I think it
strange that many want to sweep under the rug even an investigation that
everyone agrees will be from a very fair committee.

This continuous circular firing squad must stop in the best interest of CRA
and I hope my resignation will give the spammers one less target and at
least it will be reduced. As past president I will continue on the board and
will help you in any way I can.

I will work with you for a smooth transition. I understand that per board
rule my resignation cannot be effective for two weeks but I have no
intention of reversing it. We can use that time to make sure you are up to
speed when you assume the Presidency.

I have nothing but best wishes for you and CRA
